Slender: The Eight Pages Immersive fear in a minimalist forest setting
Slender is a first person survival horror game where you are out in the woods being stalked by an entity known as the Slender Man, a tall humanoid who abducts children. This is something of a landmark indy game, as it actually ended up spawning a bigger-budget sequel/remake. In the game, you must collect 8 pages while avoiding the Slender Man who creeps about just out of your field of vision and comes after you in terrifying bursts. If you stare at the Slender Man for too long the game ends as he closes in on you. This is an extremely scary game and thus not appropriate for young children.
